Kokoro from Dead or Alive 5 in her "Pop Idol" DLC outfit
So I decided to try doing style parodies, this time it's about the (once again relevant) childhood favorite, Naoko Takeuchi and her Sailor Moon. This is to say, I was going for the manga (and new series) Sailor Moon look, not the old anime one (though I liked its style, too). Face turned out okayish, maybe I should have chosen different eye form. The body and limbs are, however, difficult for me to draw Takeuchi-style without copying any particular pose (which I didn't do here). Coloring was particularly challenging, since I wanted to copy the coloring style as well. I do not have a big range of color inks and most importantly not much experience using them, so the color that I mixed myself behaved somewhat unexpectedly. I used Bristol carton as paper, it lived up to the expectations (smooth, yet very sturdy, watercolor-appropriate paper).
